HOW DO MANAGEMENT PARAMETERS HELP TO MAKE LESSON MORE EFFECTIVE?

THE CORRECT USE OF THE CORRECT TOOLS IS SOMETHING THAT CREATES PERFECTION, SO IF WE USE THE MANAGEMENT PARAMETER CORRECTLY WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A GOOD RESULT. HOWEVER, THIS TOPIC IS NOT ALWAYS EASY, BECAUSE AS TEACHERS WE KNOW VERY WELL THAT MANAGEMENT PARAMETERS ARE THERE TO USE, BUT IT IS THE DUTY OF THE TEACHER KNOW WHEN AND HOW TO USE. MOST OF THE TIMES THE PROBLEM IS THAT WE USE THE MANAGEMENT PARAMETERS IN AN INCORRECT WAY, AND AT THE END THE RESULT THAT WE GOT IS NOT THE ONE THAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR.

IN MY OWN POINT OF VIEW FROM MY TOPIC DURING THE PRESENTATION: ATTENTION, I COULD NOTICE THAT WHEN WE TALK ABOUT ATTENTION, IS NOT ONLY THE WORD, IT ALSO MEANS OTHER SKILLS WHICH ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. KNOWING THAT ATTENTION IS THE KEY TO MAKE Ss FOCUS THEIR MIND TO THE TOPICS, THE WAY WE PERFOM THIS ACTIVITY(THE CATCH OF ATTENTION) WILL BE THE TOOL TO OBTAIN GOOD RESULTS.

DURING THE PRESENTATION, WE SAW MANY DIFFERENT PARAMETERS, BUT, AS I MENTIONED BEFORE, NOT ONLY SAW THEM AND OUR CLASS WILL BE DONE, NO WAY WE HAVE TO USE THEM AS INTELLIGENT TEACHERS AND MAKE THAT OUR Ss FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH THE TECHNIQUES THAT WE USE DURING THE CLASS.

In this opportunity I have
added some pictures of my students, I have many of picutres of them, but those two are my favorite, in the first one, Manuel, Kike, Pedro (chiqui), and Luis, are beside the Salvadoran Flag, and in the other picture from left to right, Mirna, Irma, Melisa and Julia, and the boys, Andres, Juan and Mario, I have to tell that I love the different things, and in my class my students were the main point, they were the reason why I was there, that´s why I am not there, I was just the key to success for them.

How smart am I?

BEING A HUMAN MEANS BE INTELLIGENT, BUT NOT ALL THE TIMES, SOME HUMANS POSSES DIFFERENT INTELLEGENCES, THATS WHY THERE ARE 8 OF THEM.

IN MY OWN CASE, MY HABILITY IS THE LINGUISTIC ONE, I KNOW PERFECTLY THAT I HAVE WORKED A LOT IN ORDER TO CREATE THIS SKILL IN MY DAILY LIFE. ALSO IN THE PAST I USED HAVE THE ATLETHIC ONE, MANY YEARS AGO I USED TO BE A SWIMMER, ALSO I WON MANY MEDALS IN SOME NATIONAL CHAMPIONCHIPS.

BEING HONEST I WOULD LIKE TO GET SOME EXTRA POINTS IN OTHER FIELDS SUCH AS: THE MATH, AND TRY TO BE MORE OPEN TO WORK IN GROUPS AND GIVE UP TO BE SO INDIVIDUALISTIC.

DURING THIS DAY, THE Ss AND I BEGAN A NEW TOPIC, WHICH WAS THE PRESENT PROGRESSIVE TENSE, AT THE VERY BEGINNING I INTRODUCED THEM TO THE TOPIC, AND AT THE SAME TIME THEY MENTION, SOME PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE THAT THEY ALREADY HAVE ABOUT THIS TOPIC. KNOWING THE USES OF THE TOPIC, THEN I GAVE THE INSTRUCTIONS OF HOW TO USE IT AND THE ELEMENTS NECESSARY TO CREATE A SENTENCE.

THEN I BEGAN TO ASKED TO SOME Ss ABOUT THE TOPIC, A GREAT HELP WAS THAT THIS TOPIC HAS BEEN STUYING FOR THE Ss IN PREVIOUS YEARS, SO THEY HAVE LIKE SOME EXPERIENCES WITH THIS, BUT NOT EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT, THERE ARE ALWAYS SITUATIONS WHICH MAKE THE CLASS A MESS, AND THERE WAS ONE DURING THIS CLASS, BECAUSE SOME Ss BEGAN TO MADE FUN WITH THE TOPIC. BUT THIS HELP BECAUSE IT WAS A CLOUDY AND SAD DAY, AND IT TURNED TO A REALLY FUN ONE.

DURING THE INSTRUCTION TIME, I JUST REALIZE THAT SOME Ss HAVENT UNDERSTOOD TOTALLY THE TOPIC, THEN IT WAS TIME TO CCQ, BUT THE PROBLEM WAS THAT I HAVE ALREADY EXPLAINED THIS TOPIC , BUT IT IS ALWAYS GOOD TO MAKE STUDENTS UNDERSTAND PERFECTLY WHAT THEY ARE LEARNING, SO I GAVE THE INSTRUCTIONS AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME I NOTICED THAT THEY HAVE UNDERSTOOD THE TOPIC, AND I NOTICED THAT BECAUSE, THEY GAVE ME A GOOD EXPLANATION OF THE TOPIC MENTIONED BEFORE.

Why do I want to teach?

In a country as El Salvador, what do we just need to be better is education, and is pretty sad that we have lack of education in our society. In my own point of view I just want to teach because I really want that my country be a better place to live, also there are several teachers in my family, my parents, and my grandparents for example and other relatives work in the educational system. Maybe it is not a well paid profession but, the feeling of see your students making progress in their lifes is maybe more than some dollars. In the future I would like to teach, I would work with teenagers, there is a bigger challenge to work with them, that is why I would like that challenge. Make a difference working is something that I really would like to do, use new techniques and methods and make study something as a activity of a daily routine, not as an obligation. Maybe my main goal in my teaching will be, that I have learned from the mistakes that my teachers has made, and try to be better than they, keeping learning and make that my profession be my life not only the way to obtain money.

THE TRANSFORMATION PEDAGOGY MODEL:

The Pre-services teaching, is the daily duty of a teacher, also is the way that they must behave outside the classrooms,  maybe the most difficult work is the one that you have to do as a pre-service teacher, becuase is the time that you have to plan, think and try new thing for the benefit of the class. In thsi proccess is when the will of be better as a teacher is playing an important role. Also this is the time when learn from students is easier, because the chance of don`t have the pression of a classroom makes that the opportunity to know more about the class be a smaller challenge. In the other hand, the in-service teachers, work all the time with the students, make a difference in the classroom is the challenge. But both aspects are important, the first one(pre-services) is the complete of the in-service, know what are the important points and observations of both process can help us to make that teaching be a completed services for students.

EXPLAIN THE MOST IMPORTANT PURPOSE IN EDUCATION: SELF-FULFILLMENT. 

In teaching just the fact of say good job to a student is something that can have a huge impact in their process. Maybe the biggest problem in all the educational system is how to say good job to the students or in other words give positive feedback to them during the classes. However, there are some teachers who can not face just the simple fact that sometimes students can be better of students. For me the fact that a student know more than a teacher is just a deal that makes you learn more, instead of do not show respect for the student. Support your students is the same that support your soccer team, if you trust in them, keeping believing in what they are doing and even if you try to help them. You will have a result: that as a soccer team your class will be winning cups, in the case of the classes passing grades, and becoming Champions.

HOW CAN WE HELP OUR STUDENTS REACH THEIR POTENTIAL TO THE FULLEST?

Be a teacher means be the father of the mother of a family, and there will be just one goal, that the students can learn, the motivation is maybe the most important tool for this process, the way you motivate your students will make that the will to learn be bigger or if you are doing the incorrect motivation you will have a disaster as a result. Know your students is important, you can make that they work improving activities that they personaly love. If you create the perfect environment in the classroom you just have to worry about keeping making the process interesting for your students. Is important to remember that you can know everything, but if you don`t know how to teach to your own class you are in the incorrect place.

HOW CAN WE, TEACHERS, BE A SOURCE OF INSPIRATION TO OUR STUDENTS?

In the classroom we are the owners of everything, that is why all the class is focus in what we (teachers) do. So we have to keep in mind that we live in a world where the material stuff are maybe so important as the air, so if we teachers show to our class that teaching is a profession in which there are several posibilities to growth, more for us who teach not just one language. Knowing this we have the chance to make that students want to learn just because they will have the opportunity to have better posibilities in their lifes. Also just the fact of get a degree is something that can make a difference for our students. But if we want to become inspiration to our Students, we always must take into account that we have help them in this process.
